Legacy Golf Links is a Resort 18 hole golf course located in Aberdeen, North Carolina.
The Legacy Golf Links first opened for play in 1991. The course was designed by Jack Nicklaus Jr.
Legacy has been awarded 4 ½ stars by Golf Digest and was selected as one of the Top 50 golf courses in the country for customer service. In 2009 Legacy was voted in the Top 25 Public Courses by Golf Worlds Readers' Choice Awards. This award winning layout represents classic Sandhills golf with rolling hills and tall Longleaf Pines. Legacy features four of the best par threes in the Sandhills area and you won't soon forget Legacy's 18th hole; properly nicknamed "The Bear".
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 7004 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4946 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 2, a par-5 that plays to 559 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 171 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 4, a 455 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 11, a 181 yard par-3.

I think what brings this course above other in the price range is the attention you receive from the staff. The starter will send off 10 groups and then he becomes the ranger for his group until you are finished.Their ranger carts carry fresh ice water and extra sand he/she actually help you look for lost balls,act as a spoter on blind shots. I find it hard to make any recomendations,you have to experience it to belive it.
